ALPHA in Castlebar

WHAT IS ALPHA?

ALPHA is an invitation from Castlebar Parish to come and explore the meaning of life and faith today in a friendly and informal setting.  It is a 10 week programme starting Thursday, February 20 in Castlebar Parish Centre from 8pm – 9.30pm.  Each night begins with food, followed by a 30 minute video and then, time for small group discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?

ALPHA is for anyone of any age, any belief or none.  Nobody is excluded.  Over 20,000 people in Ireland have attended – most recently in Westport.  It has run successfully in 169 countries with over 24 million people taking part.

WHY DO ALPHA?

Maybe you have given up on Church, belief, Mass, prayer as many have done.  ALPHA is designed for you whether or not you have anything to do with the Church.  If you have ever asked yourself: Is there more to life than this?  How can I have faith today? What good is prayer?  Does God heal today? Is Jesus for real?  then ALPHA is for you.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

ALPHA is run free of charge.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

To help us cater for the food and limited numbers it is essential to register by calling the Presbytery at 094 9021844.
